Investigating Biomes of the World

Biomes are regions of Earth which can be distinguished by their climate, animal and plant life.  Earth has many different biomes, varying in temperature, moisture, light, and many other factors. In class we have created a  biome by making our eco-columns.  Today we are going to investigate the biomes of the world.

Follow the steps below:

1.  Choose a biome to investigate (your teacher may assign a specific one to you).

2. At The Biomes of the World website you will read about your biome using the links on the left as well as the navigational arrows that are on the bottom of some of the pages.  Read each page carefully and completely.

3.  Open the worksheet.  Complete the worksheet using Microsoft Word as you do your research.

Let's begin!  Click to investigate The Biomes of the World.
