ReadWriteThink Student Materials - Access interactive tools that can be easily integrated into your already existing lessons as well as standards based, teacher-tested lesson plans.  A few are featured below.
  • Bio Cube - Interactive tool that enables students to summarize a person's life.  It includes a printable planning sheet for students to use prior to accessing the interactive.
     
  • Doodle Splash - Interactive tool that combines the process of drawing with analytical thinking about a text by pairing an online drawing space with writing prompts that encourage students to make connections between their visual designs and the text.
     
  • Persuasion Map - Interactive graphic organizer that enables students to map out their arguments for a persuasive essay or debate.
     
  • Story Map - Interactive graphic organizers designed to assist teachers and students in prewriting and postreading activities. The organizers are intended to focus on the key elements of character, setting, conflict, and resolution development.

Writing Fun Text Organizers - The organizers can be completed online or printed and completed offline.  Many organizers to choose from.

  English Works: Reading Exercises - Online interactive reading practice (main idea, details, and inference).  
  LiteracyNet Learning Resources - Archived news stories available in text, video, and audio.  After reading/watching the story use the links on the left to access different types of interactive questions.

  Mr. Nussbaum's Cloze Exercises for Elementary students (unavailable 1/26/09)  
  English Language Centre Study Zone - ELA lessons and exercises.  
  Literacy Network: Main Idea -   Interactive tutorial and practice.  
  Literacy Network: Supporting Details - Interactive tutorial and practice  
  FCAT Practice Tests - Practice tests from Florida for their 4th grade state test.  Printable materials are also available.  
  Practice Reading Tests - Available for grades 1- 8 from Pearson Education.
